Graphics card requirements
Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, and Compressor 4 require a graphics card that supports Metal, an Apple technology that lets the system and apps efficiently tap into the capabilities of today’s graphics processors (GPUs). If you're editing 4K video, using 3D titles, or editing 360º video, 1GB of VRAM is recommended.

CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) is a parallel computing platform and application programming interface (API) model created by Nvidia. It allows software developers and software engineers to use a CUDA-enabled graphics processing unit (GPU) for general purpose processing – an approach termed GPGPU (General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units).

- With this I went and purchased a EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2GB card. I wanted to go much bigger, but not certain of the outcome I was a little hesitant and got this. I plan to put this is my older Mac Pro and go bigger next time though! So with Lion: I installed the drivers on my Mac Pro, and powered it.
- I tried to make my 560ti card work for a long time. I was never able to get dual screens working correctly. I finally threw in the towel and got the GTX 960.
